Thinking of Ahed makes me realize a very real privilege I have as a Palestinian who was born and raised in the United States. Working in the media the last seven years, trying to stand up for Palestine wherever possible — though sometimes feeling ostracized for it by coworkers — made me feel anything but privileged.
