We are going to be running the world in a few years, so we should have faith in ourselves. We don’t necessarily need to follow the rules. Approach everything with an open heart and an open mind. As far as music goes, the idea goal is that people live their lives to my music. I hope people listen to my stories and apply them to their own minds. I think one of the coolest things about music is you can hear a song that an artist wrote about a bad breakup and you can hear a single lyric or hear the song and be like, “This is exactly what I’m going through right now," even though the song was written by a person who you’ve never met before.
